Reviews & Feedback
"I brought in my late father's Seiko 5 which hadn't run in years. The watchmaker took the time to explain what had seized in the keyless works and what the overhaul would involve. When I collected it, it was running beautifully. That meant more to me than I can really say."

"Very straightforward experience. I was told the cost before any work started, received a message when it was ready, and the watch came back exactly as described. The crown now moves the way it should — smooth and positive. I will be returning for the full overhaul next year."

"Took my ETA 2824-based watch in for a service. The work was done carefully and I received a summary of what was replaced. The timing is now well within acceptable range. My only note is that the turnaround was closer to the longer end of the estimate — but the result was worth waiting for."

"I had a 1968 Omega Constellation that needed attention. Rauf walked me through every decision point — what could be done without changing the character of the dial, and what would need original-specification parts sourced from overseas. The result was a watch I'm proud to wear again."

"I found Chronofeld after struggling to find anyone in Johor who would take on a Citizen automatic in a state it was in. They assessed it without hesitation, gave me honest feedback about what was and wasn't possible, and completed the service professionally. Happy customer."

Iskandar Puteri · November 2025
"Brought in a Longines Heritage with a badly worn stem. They sourced an appropriate replacement, fitted it correctly, and pressure tested before collection. Couldn't ask for more. The whole experience was calm and professional — nobody was in a hurry, and neither was I."

Caliber Overhaul · Seiko 6139
Challenge
A Seiko 6139 chronograph from 1972 arrived losing several minutes per day, with a column wheel that slipped intermittently during chronograph operation. The owner had worn the watch daily since receiving it from his uncle in the 1990s.
Solution
Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning. The balance staff pivot showed wear and was replaced. The column wheel mechanism was cleaned and lubricated with appropriate oil. All components timed post-reassembly across five positions.
Result
The watch now runs to within +4 seconds per day across positions. Chronograph function is precise and consistent. Total service time: 12 working days.
"I had resigned myself to keeping it in a drawer. I'm glad I didn't."
Collector's Restoration · Omega Seamaster 1957
Challenge
A 1957 Omega Seamaster arrived with a cracked acrylic crystal, a dial with flaking lacquer at the edge, and a mainspring that had lost tension. The owner wanted to bring it back into wearable condition without altering its aged character.
Solution
Period-correct acrylic crystal sourced from specialist stock. Dial edge stabilised under magnification with archival-grade consolidant. Mainspring replaced with a new old-stock equivalent. Movement fully serviced and timed. Case brushing preserved, no polish applied.
Result
A wearable, accurate, and visually honest watch. The dial retains its aged warmth. Service documentation runs to four pages. Total time: six weeks including parts sourcing.
"The documentation alone is something I'll keep. It turns the watch into a small archive."
Essential Service · Citizen Eco-Drive
Challenge
A Citizen Eco-Drive had stopped running and the owner suspected the solar cell had failed. The crown was also slightly stiff to operate, raising concerns about water ingress.
Solution
Assessment revealed the capacitor had reached end of life rather than the solar cell. Capacitor replaced. Crown gasket also replaced and a new stem gasket fitted. Pressure test completed and passed at 5 bar.
Result
Watch running normally within two working days of assessment. Owner pleased to learn the more significant solar cell was fine — overall cost lower than anticipated.
"They didn't assume the worst or suggest more work than was needed. That honesty is appreciated."
